Men's
We are very successful and have two squads.In 10/11 the men?s 1st team finished 2nd in tier 2A. The men?s 2nd team finished 2nd in tier 3A. In the 11/12 season, our teams are competing in the following: Men?s 1st team - tier 2A Men?s 2nd team - tier 2A Men?s 3rd team - TBC Women?s 1st team - tier 2A We have great banter and by joining the squad you are joining a brotherhood! We go abroad on Tour each spring and have a great time competing in the competition. Socials are on a Wednesday where we go to Spoil Sports at Walkabout and then onto BANG TIDY at Chilli White and Bliss. For more information contact: toby_wallace@msn.com

Women's

Bournemouth university women’s rugby team has only been formed for a year. However, we achieved so much in such a small space of time. We finished mid table in our league and have built not just a rugby team, but a strong unit of friends. We have our games Wednesday afternoons and always have a messy social afterwards (whether we win or lose) to celebrate our achievements as a team.

We welcome beginners, people who have played before, and those who are down for some messy nights with some fun people. Our team was nominated for the most improved team at the Sports Awards and a number of our players were nominated for awards, including sports personality of the year. Our coach is a female who has played for the U20s England squad.

If you are interested in playing rugby for our team do not be afraid to come along to training and give it a go! Last year only three members of our team had ever played rugby before, now we have a 20 woman-squad all different shapes and sizes! We train at Meyrick Park, Bournemouth Monday evenings 6:30-8:30 and Friday evenings 5 till 6:30. If anyone has any more enquiries call Holly Blackhurst (captain) on 07846592402.
