BU Hockey

 

Men's
Men’s Hockey 1st Team play in the Western Conference 2A league and compete in the Western Conference Cup each season. Recent seasons have proved Bournemouth Hockey to be a consistently strong team in both cup and league competitions finishing 2nd in the league and reaching the semi finals of the cup for the past two season running. Training takes place on a Sunday afternoon at Chapelgate Sports Club where the team focus their time on tactical play and mastering the basics, where Monday nights sees the fitness sessions occur along the beach front between Bournemouth and Boscombe Piers.

Women's
Ladies Hockey 1st Team play in the Western Conference 2A league and also compete in the Western Conference Cup. In a similar setting as the men, the ladies have been strong competitors in this league for a number of years now and will be looking to push for promotion into the top tier of their conference. Ladies train on Monday nights at Chapelgate Sports Club.

 

BU Hockey enters a mixed team to tour as the culmination to the season. In 2010/11 they entered into the Saloufest in Spain and were able to enjoy the sun, sea, sand and of course the sport! A week that will never be forgotten and is eagerly anticipated each and every year. Tour is the opportunity not to be missed for any Varsity Athlete.

 

The team holds it's weekly socials with A-List Varsity Card so expect fun and frolics at Walkabout for Spoil Sports and then Bang Tidy later on at Chill White/Bliss where you will most of us loving up the Red Bull Sponsored silent disco in the outdoor arena!
